Winter with Indepen-dance

Working in partnership with Indepen-dance, Mischief La Bas choreographed a piece with Indepen-dance members that could be performed during lockdown across schools and care homes in Scotland. The piece focussed on the delights of the winter period and was made available as a Christmas show.

Using mobile screens to allow for simultaneity of in-person performers and online-video performers, it allowed the dancers freedom to perform in complete safety, as well as being respectful of the safety of the audience.

The performances came at the end of several months of mentorship and workshops run by Mischief with the dancers across Zoom, allowing the dancers to continue their practice across lockdown.
