To celebrate the UEFA Cup Final 2007 in Glasgow, Mischief La-Bas were delighted to be commissioned by Glasgow City Council to come up with something special.

The result was the creation of two iconic but fictional local football teams THE GLASGOW THUNDERBOLTS (1934) and GLASGOW UNITED (1975).

Complete with Managers, programme sellers and 'Wives & Girlfriends' the teams paraded through the streets - signing autographs, shaking hands and posing for innumerable photos with Spanish fans before playing two 'home and away' matches in George Square and the Merchant City. The event was hailed by event organiser Colin Hartley as 'the best commission we've ever made from you, you've outdone yourselves'

We enjoyed it so much we made our own film edition - 'The Big Match' ... enjoy.

What People Say About Us

‘Many, many thanks for helping us create some real impact on the first weekend of this year’s Festival. Your team were absolutely outstanding. Thanks for one of the most bizarre weekends in my life! Both the Elvis Cleaning Company and the Paparazzi got the most perfect reaction with their antics. The pub crawl was especially rewarding, taking the spirit of the festival to a normal unsuspecting crowd, their reactions were a sight to behold. Please do pass on my thanks to your team who were totally professional and more. Thanks too for taking part in the TV and photo shoots and the radio interviews. I’m looking forward already to working with you again. Take care and hey, don’t go changing!’ Yours sincerely
Jon Hogan (Events Officer Highland Festival)
