National Library of Scotland

ImageWhen the National Library opened its John Murray Archive (consisting of letters and artefacts belonging to famous historical figures) the curators wished to supplement the launch event with characterisations. Having created 'Whistler's Mothers', 'Charles Rennie Mackintoshes' and 'Andy Warhols' in the past, Mischief La-Bas decided to add a new twist by creating animated portraits that could converse with visitors (and each other). The launch, hosted by Michael Palin, was deemed a great success, and the curators informed us that they wished they could keep the Mischief characters as permanent fixtures.
