For Mayday Celebrations on Glasgow Green, Glasgow City Council invited Mischief La-Bas to create a bespoke project that might strengthen the historical significance of this public space. The result was the creation of a guided tour that featured several historical characters appearing in relevant locations. The characters, like the Guide, all had their own humorous anecdotes, tics and foibles, and while lots of historical information was imparted to the tour groups, the Mischief ethic of absurdity ensured that everyone had a laugh out loud experience. The authentic Glasgow Green Park Rangers even tagged along and admitted they learnt quite a bit themselves.
